George Nelson

George Nelson was an American designer, architect, and writer, and one of the most influential figures of mid-century modern design. As design director at Herman Miller from 1945 to 1972, he helped shape modern American furniture and interiors, collaborating with designers such as Charles and Ray Eames and Isamu Noguchi. He is best known for iconic designs including the Nelson Bench, Bubble Lamps, and Marshmallow Sofa.
